SERP

SERP or (Search Engine Results Page). When you type a query into a search engine like Google, Bing, or Yahoo, the page that comes up with all the results is called the SERP.

Each SERP is unique, even for search queries performed on the same search engine using the same keywords. This is because virtually all search engines customize the experience for their users by presenting results based on a wide range of factors beyond their search terms, such as the user’s physical location, browsing history, and social settings.

SERPs typically contain two types of content – “organic” results and paid results. Organic results are listings of web pages that appear as a result of the search engine’s algorithm (based on relevance to the search terms), and paid results are essentially advertisements paid for by businesses to appear alongside organic results.

In addition to these, SERPs may also contain various other types of results such as images, videos, news stories, maps, and featured snippets, depending on the nature of the search query.
