UGC link
The term “UGC” stands for User Generated Content. When this term is used in conjunction with a link, it refers to a specific type of “rel” attribute value that can be added to hyperlinks in HTML.
In September 2019, Google introduced two new “rel” values: “ugc” and “sponsored”. The “ugc” value is intended to be used for links within user generated content. This includes comments and forum posts, essentially any content that has been created by users of a site, rather than the site administrators or content creators.
By using the “ugc” value, website administrators can signal to Google that the link has been added by a user, and not by the site’s owner or author. This provides valuable context about the nature of the link. User Generated Content link does in a way operate like a nofollow link, meaning that it is not going to pass “all” the SEO juice
